I have looked at the original St Germans parish church baptism register
this morning (P68/1/2) and the baptism took place on 14 August 1757.
There is however a marginal note against the entry with very small
writing and this says 'Born 9 Aug 12 at noon'

I hope this will be of some assistance to you.

      Yours sincerely,

      David Thomas
