Perhaps the man of these names mentioned in G. Mag., 1843, I. 84, as Lieut., appointed Commander and again, as Capt., appointed to the Clio; and on p. 195 as appointed to be arbitrator on part of Her Majesty of the mixed British and Portuguese Commission held at Jamaica under the Treaty concluded at Lisbon, July 3, 1842. Drowned 1843, in the steamer Solway, off Corunna. (List of Carthusians.)
