  --- "The Herald and Genealogist" Vol. 5, 1870, page 425-6: John Elliston, the son, was born about the end of the sixteenth century, and died in 1652. By his second wife, Mrs. Clench, widow, he appears to have had no children. By his first wife (probably one of the Sparrow family) he had three sons, John, Peter, and Oliver, and two daughters. Son Benjamin's Baptism record lists parents as John Elliston and Elizabeth, his wife.
