Pringle-Atkinson – April 3, at Holy Trinity Church, Paddington, Alfred Lionel Pringle, R.A., to Charlotte Ellen, daughter of the late Colonel Atkinson, Madras Engineers.
— "Aunt Lottie" was remembered by her niece, Eleanor Jauncey, in her memoirs as follows:
"Aunt Lottie, widow of Uncle Lion, was very retiring, but we often stayed with her at Richmond and had a great affection for her. Her elder son was a not-very-successful electrical engineer who married an Irish girl who died young, leaving my dearest cousin, Kathleen, to be a very dear friend all my life (and who writes to me once a week)."
