  --- "A Display of Herladry" by John Guillim et al, 1724, page 323: John alias Sir John Speccot of Speccot, Son and Heir of Humphry, married two Wives; the First was Elizabeth, Daughter of Peter Edgcomb of Mount Edgcombe, by whom h had Issue Peter Speccot Son and Heir, aged 25 in the Year 1620 (which was the Peter I first mentioned, who married the Daughter of Sir John Mallet) also Paul second Son, and Elizabeth a Daughter, Wife of Francis Fortexcue of Preston.
