Press photo of young Montague Robert Vere Eliot taken by the Western Morning News (Cornwall newspaper) on 13 Apr 1927. Vere was the official presenter of the silver cup at the Hessenford Prize Fair in "the beautiful grounds of Port Eliot" (prize for the "best young horse"). The recipient of the trophy was Major Edward Francis Stanhope Rodd of Tebartha. Vere's father, Mr Monty Eliot, was chairman of the annual event for 1927.
