The inside front of the album is inscribed 'Nelly Post from "Mummy" 1896'. Her husband, Montague Eliot (later 8th Earl of St Germans), organized this album for their children: Germaine Elizabeth Olive Eliot, Nicholas Richard Michael Eliot, and Montague Robert Vere Eliot. He captioned with sitters' relationships to his children. His handwritten notes will follow the * in our captions.
