On 8 Oct 1896, following a severe gale, "The Puffin" (the Irish lightship Daunt's Rock) vanished, crew and all. The ship was discovered on 5 Nov 1896. This photo was taken at the wreck of The Puffin, shortly after having been towed into the Cork Harbour at Queenstown in August of 1897. It's possible that this is a photo of Mr Ensor and his staff, but no names were recorded.
