Two nice examples of a Victorian "Photo Visiting Card" or "Photo Postcard". (Without knowing the size, it would be difficult to tell.) Inscribed on the back by Nelly Eliot, "My Mother, about 1895". A later inscription by Peregrine St Germans reads "Mother of Nelly St Germans, my Grandmother". Mother and Grandmother, at the time this picture was taken, was Elizabeth (nee Wadsworth), widow of Mr Arthur Post, and wife of Mr Arthur Hugh Smith-Barry (later Lord & Lady Barrymore).
