EXPLANATION
The old plantations are dark green & distinctly dotted.
The proposed plantations are brighter green; the present hedges, dotted black lines. No drives or walks are marked, because, till all the hedges be removed, the easiest and most interesting lines cannot be marked with precision; but the new plantations will often direct their course, by dividing the views, and, consequently, the scenery will be varied and multiplied.

For ease of reading, punctuation and capitalization have been modernized.
